Blaine County Mosquito Control

MosquitoProtect the Home Front

Blaine County Mosquito District takes a proactive approach to mosquito abatement in the Milk River Valley of Blaine County. Our employees use a number of different techniques to help combat these nuisance bugs, however spraying is probably the one most of the public is familiar with. Our spraying schedule is as follows:

Harlem & Chinook – every other night, Monday through Friday
Zurich – Twice a week
Rural routes – once a week

Spraying Mosquitoes can be hindered at times, as certain weather conditions are required for spraying to be effective. Wind, humidity, and temperatures under 65 degrees or above 85 degrees can all cause delays in our schedule.

When you see the spray truck coming, here are some things to remember:

– Go inside a building while being sprayed
– Keep windows shut during spraying for at least 1 hour
– Do not follow the spray trucks

If you are planning a special event, extra spraying and/or larvacide can be arranged for a charge. Please allow at least two days notice to schedule a visit from our truck.
